Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Talent Acquisition team at Mercer. This role will be based in Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This is a contractual role on 3rd party contract.

Senior Executive – Talent Acquisition

(11 Month contractual role)

About the Role:

Talent Acquisition is responsible for finding extraordinary talent for Mercer Assessment Solutions. They execute the full recruiting life cycle, sourcing, assessing, and interviewing potential candidates, while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The recruiter will provide guidance to hiring managers on Talent Acquisition process, polices, and work with moderate supervision on routine and non-routine tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with hiring managers/business managers to implement the talent acquisition process and understand the talent acquisition strategy for the open position.
  • Sets minimum standards in determining the appropriate slate of candidates and makes recommendations to the hiring manager as to the best slate of qualified candidates.
  • Sources for diverse talent using a myriad of tools and partnerships and actively utilizes tools/technologies such as LinkedIn, CRM, ATS, etc. to attract, assess and engage talent.
  • Advises Hiring Managers of the sourcing strategy and their role in the hiring process. Source, assess, interview and present potential candidates to hiring managers by leveraging appropriate channels of sourcing with continuous focus on cost effectiveness.
  • Ability to scale across multiple talent segments for roles thru mid-career level. Identifies and utilizes cost effective targeted sourcing strategies such as internet mining, screening methods and selection tools for the talent acquisition process to effectively build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Strives to improve efficiencies around operational metrics including time to fill; quality of hires and discretionary spend. Ensures a consistently positive and professional experience for each candidate by managing the candidate expectations from selection up to pre-boarding; regularly updates the candidate by phone and/or email and notifies of selection process and next steps; provides timely feedback to the candidate regarding status in the hiring process, engaging with the candidate post offer and prior to joining.
  • Educates hiring managers, business leaders and human resources on talent acquisition best practices; e.g, interviewing processes and expectations through utilization of established materials such as Service Level Agreement (SLA), Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Client Engagement meeting, Interview guides, etc.; participates in talent acquisition projects as appropriate, such as developing, creating, and updating interview guides, job descriptions, and sourcing techniques.
  • Drives efficiency in the process; awareness of best practices across Industry.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly updates for business discussions and participate in business meetings. Maintains applicant tracking database integrity and follows talent acquisition policy, processes, and all applicable laws.
  • Converts candidates to the appropriate status in applicant tracking system throughout the talent acquisition process to ensure accurate reporting.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role of minimum of 5+ years
  • Familiarity with social media, CV databases, and professional networks

    Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) – Workday/ Phenom and Candidate Management Systems (CMSs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • A degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or relevant field
