Role Description:
This full-time, on-site role is based in the Kolkata metropolitan area and focuses on driving sales growth for the Peripheral Vascular business within an assigned territory.
The Area / Territory Sales Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, and clinics, and promote Merils peripheral vascular product portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
- Territory planning, achieving sales targets, conducting product demonstrations and presentations, and providing timely customer support.
- Regular field visits, coordination with internal teams for orders and logistics, market analysis, and participation in conferences, workshops, and training programs to strengthen market presence and customer engagement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales, ideally in cardiovascular or peripheral vascular segments.
- Strong territory management, business development, and account management capabilities.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers.
- Comfort with product presentations, clinical discussions, and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
- Solid negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on ethical selling and patient-centric outcomes.
- Data-driven approach to sales planning, forecasting, and reporting, including proficiency with MS Office and CRM tools.
- Bachelors degree in Science, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and work in field-based conditions.
- Knowledge of local healthcare market dynamics in the Kolkata metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Commitment to compliance, quality standards, and continuous learning in a highly regulated medical environment.
