Introduction

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Delivery Manager, MPT to join our GBPS (Grinding, Bulk, Pyro, Smelting) Proposals and Project Management team.

Purpose of the job

To lead the integration of gearbox product development with contract manufacturing by aligning Metso s engineering, quality, procurement and supply chain processes. This role ensures that products often developed and manufactured concurrently are delivered efficiently, with high quality, and in alignment with business needs. A key focus is on lifting and standardizing processes by leveraging existing systems (SAP, Enovia PDM) and creating a scalable model that can serve as a benchmark for similar initiatives across Metso.

This role involves managing a portfolio of customer delivery projects as well as alignment with Metso s processes, tools, and policies. The ideal candidate will bring decent project management expertise to drive operational excellence and contribute to long-term business profitability through the execution of Principal Company Model (PCM) projects across global markets.

This position is mainly located in Vadodara, India.

Key Responsibilities

Process Integration & Development

• Lead the end-to-end integration of gearbox product development with contract manufacturing, ensuring alignment of design, sourcing, and production processes.
• Drive a structured process lift-up by analyzing current workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improvements that bridge product development, SAP-based supply chain operations, and contract manufacturing requirements.
• Ensure seamless data flow and traceability between Enovia PDM and SAP to support efficient engineering change management, BOM accuracy, and manufacturing execution.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, workflows, and governance models to support concurrent engineering and manufacturing.

Quality Integration

• Collaborate closely with Quality teams to embed quality assurance and control processes into the development-to-manufacturing workflow.
  
• Manage implementation of gearbox product ITPs, traceability requirements, and feedback mechanisms (via Jagger-tool) to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with Metso s quality standards.

Benchmarking & Standardization

• Develop a robust, scalable process model that can serve as a benchmark for similar integration needs across Metso.
• Capture and disseminate best practices, lessons learned, and KPIs to support continuous improvement and cross-site knowledge sharing.

Change Management & Capability Building

• Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working across stakeholder groups.
• Support training and capability development in the use of SAP, Vault, Enovia PDM, and integrated workflows for product development and manufacturing.

The primary challenge of this role is to establish and implement a structured, scalable process for integrating gearbox product development with contract manufacturing where products are often being designed and manufactured simultaneously. Currently, the absence of a standardized process results in a high dependency on manual coordination, increasing the risk of inefficiencies, misalignment, and quality issues. Additionally, the role must support multiple upcoming development projects over the next few years, requiring a future-proof process that can adapt to evolving business needs and be replicated across other product lines and manufacturing partnerships.

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Sales, Proposals, Account Management, Technical Sales Support, Product Commercial Support, Product Team, Engineering, Procurement, Sourcing, Logistics, and Field Services as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor s or master s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of proven experience in product management & project execution in Industrial Gear Boxes, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain integration.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (ERP/MM/PP) and Enovia PDM is essential.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional process development or transformation initiatives, especially in concurrent engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and their integration into product development and manufacturing.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers is highly desirable.
• MBA or certifications such as PMP
