Head - HR Operations - Retail/Hospitality

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned HR Operations leader to spearhead the people function for our high-growth retail and hospitality business in Delhi NCR. In this strategic role, you will oversee the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence across multiple customer-facing locations. You will act as a key partner to regional business heads and corporate leadership, translating complex business requirements into seamless HR processes. By driving efficiency in payroll, compliance, and performance management, you will directly influence employee retention, operational productivity, and the overall service culture that defines our brand presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable HR operational frameworks to support a large, distributed workforce across retail and hospitality outlets, ensuring consistent service delivery.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing and statutory compliance to mitigate organizational risk and ensure timely, accurate compensation for all staff.
• Partner with business unit heads to streamline performance management cycles, enabling managers to drive high-performance outcomes and talent development.
• Manage complex employee relations and grievance redressal processes to maintain a positive, compliant, and inclusive work environment.
• Leverage HR analytics to provide actionable insights to leadership, identifying trends in attrition, productivity, and workforce planning to inform strategic decision-making.
• Lead the digital transformation of HR workflows, implementing robust HRIS solutions to reduce manual intervention and enhance the employee experience.

Required Skillset:

• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale HR operations within the retail or hospitality sectors, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges posed by a frontline, shift-based workforce.
• Proven ability to navigate complex labor laws and statutory regulations, ensuring 100% compliance across multiple operational sites.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and build consensus across diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset, capable of interpreting data to drive process improvements and organizational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, essential for fostering a culture of transparency and trust within a high-pressure, customer-centric environment.
• A postgraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field from a premier institute, reflecting a strong academic foundation in organizational behavior and management.
• High degree of adaptability and a hands-on approach, with the willingness to travel across Delhi NCR to engage directly with site operations and field teams.
