Head - Supply Chain - Chemicals/Petrochemicals

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership:

• Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with business growth, profitability, and customer service objectives.
• Lead integrated supply chain functions including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, customer service, and trade compliance.
• Drive digital transformation, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain network.
• Build a high-performance team and foster a culture of operational excellence and customer centricity.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):

• Lead the monthly S&OP process to balance demand, supply, and inventory across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Collaborate closely with Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, and Product Management teams to optimize supply chain performance.
• Ensure high forecast accuracy and effective inventory management while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.

Import & Export Management:

• Oversee end-to-end import and export operations for raw materials, intermediates, and finished chemical products.
• Manage international trade compliance, customs regulations, documentation, duties, and export incentives.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, ports, shipping lines, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth product movement.
• Optimize global trade routes, reduce logistics costs, and improve delivery reliability.
• Mitigate risks related to international shipments, geopolitical disruptions, and supply chain constraints.

Logistics & Distribution:

• Develop and execute logistics strategies for domestic and international transportation.
• Manage road, rail, sea, and multimodal logistics operations to ensure safe and cost-effective movement of chemical products.
• Drive transportation optimization, freight cost management, and warehouse productivity improvements.
• Monitor service providers and logistics partners against defined KPIs and SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to chemical transportation.

International Customer Management:

• Partner closely with customers across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and other international markets to ensure superior order fulfillment and service delivery.
• Act as the key supply chain interface for global customers regarding order status, shipment schedules, inventory availability, and delivery commitments.
• Resolve supply chain and logistics challenges impacting international customers while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Support business growth by developing customer-specific supply chain solutions and improving service levels.

Inventory & Working Capital Management:

• Optimize inventory levels across plants, warehouses, ports, and distribution centers.
• Drive initiatives to improve inventory turns, reduce working capital, and enhance cash flow performance.
• Establish supply chain KPIs and governance mechanisms to improve visibility and decision-making.

Supply Chain Excellence:

• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Leverage analytics, automation, and digital tools to enhance supply chain visibility and responsiveness.
• Develop contingency plans and business continuity strategies for critical supply chain risks.
