Job Description

Location : Kolkata

Designation: Group Manager

Skills: Operations & Service Delivery in Tea industry

Job responsibilities:

1. Supervising registration of stakeholders, training, managing pre-sale to post auction operations.

2. Key knowledge of Tea auctions and all its minute points

3. Good Interaction with the Tea industry and update with the industry knowledge across Assam, Dooars, Darjeeling, South etc,

4. Can head a Revenue channel with these responsibilities

5. Open to travel as required and open to work individually and with team

6. Understand the requirements of a Startup environment of the Business

7. Moderate to Good Technological exposure and understanding

8. Manage invoicing of materials and services within prescribed TAT. Managing Credit/Debit notes for short supply and refunds.

9. Refund of security deposits to stakeholders with proper coordination with finance

10. Understand stakeholder requirements, preparation of detailed BRS for onward developments of platform functionalities.

11. Proactively identify and address process gaps to achieve customer delight.

12. Drive reduction in costs through process improvements & automation.

13. Regular coordinate with Sales and Warehouse teams for various deliverables.

14. Close co-ordination with various FUs Technology, F&A, HR, Customer service, Admin, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, etc.

15. Updating content on website through close coordination with Marketing team.

16. Contract management - Taking care of various partnerships like transporters, courier agencies, IT Service providers, etc.

17. Help desk and customer care portal management for buyers & sellers with support from third party service provider.

18. Business Analytics & AI model implementations

19. Publish dashboards for management and stakeholders, to drive marketplace performance and health.

20. Collate & analyze business data, & highlight discrepancies to the management which helps them in making decisions, suggest corrective actions.

21. IT integration of VAS like Buyer Finance, Billing etc.

22. Manage the team, set KPIs & evaluate effectiveness of all initiatives through periodic review meetings with the team.

23. Constant engagement with the team to motivate, develop their personnel growth opportunities and understand grievances.

Candidate Profile:

Should have 12-15 years of experience in managing auction platforms and related operations.

Should have good knowledge on supply chain of agro commodities like tea and spices. Understanding of Tea & other Agro businesses and the nuances, platforms, e-auctions and e-marketplaces is preferred.

Good knowledge and experience in procurement processes in agro commodities especially on Purchase Order generation, GRN.

Be able to work as part of a cross-functional team and co-ordinate with various FUs

Should be adept at anticipating problems, take measures and resolve complex problems within TAT

Must possess good communication skills written and verbal

Strong Leadership , networking and team management skills

Strong understanding of market research techniques & data analysis

Should be able to coordinate with F&A team for refunds, Credit notes, Debit notes on case-to-case basis and reconciliation of transactions.

Knowledge of SAP MM and SD modules is a plus.

Good Knowledge on financial accounting will be preferred
