Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle R12.2 Finance Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2 Finance modules, specifically in the context of the Manufacturing sector. This role involves understanding financial business requirements, translating them into Oracle EBS solutions, and ensuring effective integration with other Oracle modules used in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functional Expertise in Finance Modules: Provide in-depth functional expertise in Oracle R12.2 Financial modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), and Cost Management (CST) in the context of a manufacturing environment.
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders in the finance and manufacturing departments to gather, analyze, and document financial business requirements. Translate these requirements into Oracle EBS functional specifications.
- System Configuration: Configure Oracle R12.2 Finance modules based on business needs, including configuring chart of accounts, accounting periods, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable setups, financial reporting, and more.
- Integration with Manufacturing Modules: Work closely with the Manufacturing functional teams to ensure the proper integration of financial data with Inventory (INV), Work in Process (WIP), and Bills of Material (BOM), and ensure that financial transactions from these modules are accurately reflected in the financials.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure that financial reporting requirements are met, and that the system is compliant with local and international financial regulations and standards. Assist in setting up financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Month-End and Year-End Closures: Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Review accounting entries and reconcile financial transactions across manufacturing and finance systems to ensure accuracy.
- Testing and Validation: Oversee the testing of Oracle configurations and customized solutions, perform functional validation, and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the finance and accounting teams.
- Training and Documentation: Create and deliver training sessions for end-users on financial modules, processes, and reporting. Develop documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing functional support for Oracle Finance modules, troubleshooting any issues related to financial transactions, reporting, or month-end processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization in the financial workflows, especially between manufacturing and financial operations. Recommend solutions to automate and streamline processes.
- Upgrades and Enhancements: Support Oracle R12.2 upgrades and implementation of new features within financial modules, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 12-15 years of experience working as a functional consultant with Oracle EBS R12.2 Finance modules, specifically in manufacturing or production environments.
- Finance and Manufacturing Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial processes in the manufacturing sector, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, work order costing, and financial impact tracking across manufacturing processes.
- Oracle EBS Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12.2 Finance modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), and Cost Management (CST).

- Business Process Mapping: Ability to map business processes and align them with Oracle system functionality, ensuring seamless integration between financial and manufacturing operations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including finance, IT, and business teams.
- Project Management: Proven experience in working on Oracle EBS Finance module implementations, upgrades, or support projects. Ability to manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
- Certifications: Oracle certification in relevant Oracle R12.2 Finance modules (preferred).
Desirable Skills:
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, and understanding of Oracle interfaces, customizations, and reporting tools (e.g., BI Publisher, Oracle Reports).
- Previous Manufacturing Industry Experience: Experience in the manufacturing sector, including cost accounting for manufacturing processes, inventory management, and work order costing.
Education:
- Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. A Masters degree or MBA is a plus.
