Chola MS General Insurance (Murugappa Group) is looking to hire a result-oriented Area Manager to drive Motor Insurance business through the NBFC (Chola Finance) channel.
This is a mid-senior level role focused on scaling insurance penetration, managing channel partnerships, and delivering consistent premium growth.
Role Overview:

The incumbent will be responsible for driving motor insurance attachment in loan portfolios, strengthening partner engagement across branches, and improving renewal and rollover business through a structured, data-driven approach.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Revenue Ownership:

- Drive Motor Insurance business through the NBFC channel (Chola Finance)

- Ensure high insurance penetration in loan files and maximize attachment ratios

- Own and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual premium targets

- Improve renewal conversion and rollover business performance
2. Channel & Stakeholder Management:

- Build and manage strong relationships with NBFC branch teams and channel partners

- Drive alignment across sales, underwriting, and operations teams

- Conduct regular branch visits, partner meetings, and performance reviews
3. Performance & Funnel Management:

- Monitor key metrics including login, issuance, conversion ratios, and penetration %

- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective strategies

- Train and enable channel teams on motor insurance products and processes
4. Renewal & Retention Strategy:

- Drive higher renewal retention ratios and improve persistency

- Plan and execute strategies to increase rollover business from existing customers

- Ensure strong follow-up mechanisms for closures
Skills & Qualifications:

- 5 - 10 years of experience in General Insurance (Motor Insurance mandatory)

- Proven experience in NBFC/Banca/Loan attachment models

- Strong understanding of motor insurance products, underwriting basics, and distribution models

- Target-driven with strong relationship management and stakeholder handling skills

- Ability to manage multiple branches and nearby geographies

- Willingness to travel across assigned territory
