Muthoottu Mini Financiers Ltd., with a proud legacy of over 100 years in financial services, is looking for a seasoned professional to join our fast-growing Microfinance Division.
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Manager Credit (Microfinance) to lead and strengthen our credit operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust credit policies, underwriting norms, and risk assessment frameworks for microfinance.
- Lead end-to-end credit appraisal and loan approval processes across branches and regions.
- Monitor portfolio health and take corrective measures to minimize NPAs and delinquencies.

- Collaborate with field operations, collections, product, and compliance teams to align credit decisions with business goals.
- Mentor and train credit analysts and branch staff in credit assessment and risk management techniques.
- Drive digitization of credit processes for improved efficiency and faster turnaround.
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and NBFC-MFI regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and portfolio reviews.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certifications in Credit/Risk Management will be an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in credit assessment, underwriting, or risk management in the Microfinance or NBFC-MFI sector (Mandatory).
- Strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Sound understanding of microfinance customer profiles, portfolio trends, and lending dynamics.
- Hands-on experience with credit bureau reports, MIS tools, and Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
- Willingness to travel across regions as required.
Preferred Profile:
- Experience in NBFC-MFI operations within Kerala or familiarity with Kerala market and customer base.
- Malayalam language proficiency is a plus.
- Candidates currently based in Kerala or willing to relocate to Kochi will be given preference.
