Job Description
- The Service Manager position is based in Baroda (Vadodara), Gujarat within the Construction Equipment industry, specifically focusing on Mahindra Backhoe Loaders & Graders. With a minimum of 7-8 years of experience, the role requires overseeing after-sales service operations to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing dealer networks, service teams, warranty claims, and enhancing customer relationships in the construction equipment sector.
Key responsibilities of the role involve leading service operations for Mahindra Backhoe Loaders & Graders in the assigned region, processing warranty claims, implementing preventive actions based on equipment performance, and driving service revenue through various programs. Building strong relationships with construction contractors, infra developers, and mining companies is crucial, along with supporting dealer workshops and resolving technical issues for customers.
The Service Manager will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of service engineers and technicians, conducting technical training for dealer service staff and end-users, and ensuring compliance with service KPIs. Additionally, the role involves strategic reporting by preparing monthly service MIS, implementing process improvements, and coordinating with OEM for technical issues and design improvements.

The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering, possess 7-8 years of service management experience in construction equipment (Backhoe Loaders, Graders, Excavators), and have exposure to Mahindra CE or competitor brands. Strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.,
