Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Articleship role in Statutory Audit based in Mumbai. The Articleship trainee will assist in planning and executing statutory audits for clients across various industries, including detailed testing of financial transactions and balances. Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements for compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards, documenting audit procedures, and preparing working papers and draft reports. The role involves coordinating with engagement teams, interacting with client personnel to obtain information, and supporting senior team members in resolving audit issues. The trainee will also contribute to internal quality and documentation requirements and stay updated on relevant regulatory and professional developments.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and assess risks.
- Candidates should possess solid Communication skills to interact with clients, collaborate with audit teams, and prepare clear documentation and reports.

- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Finance and Financial Statements, including understanding of accounting principles and statutory reporting requirements.
- Candidates should possess Auditing skills, with an understanding of audit procedures, internal controls, and compliance with auditing standards.
- Enrollment in CA Articleship program or similar professional qualification track (e.g., ICAI) is required or preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other audit or accounting software, along with strong attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, adapt to dynamic client environments, and maintain high ethical standards and professional integrity.
