About Us

Nalanda Educational Institutions is a leading educational organization committed to academic excellence and nurturing top talent. We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant HR Manager to take full ownership of the recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing candidates, screening & shortlisting, final interviewing, salary negotiations, documentation, and onboarding.

This role is critical in ensuring a structured and efficient hiring process, from identifying top talent to successfully integrating them into the institution while ensuring compliance with our HR policies.

Key Responsibilities Primary Focus Areas

???? Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Job Postings: Create and manage job postings on LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, and institutional career sites.
  • Sourcing Candidates: Actively search for and attract top talent using job portals, professional networks, and direct outreach.
  • Screening & Shortlisting: Conduct resume reviews and initial screening interviews to evaluate candidates based on qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Final Interviews: Schedule and conduct final-round interviews in coordination with department heads and senior management.
  • Salary Negotiations: Lead salary discussions and package finalization aligned with institutional policies.

???? Hiring & Onboarding Process

  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure selected candidates sign employment contracts, policy agreements, and institutional HR documents before joining.
  • Background Verification: Oversee reference checks and ensure candidates meet all necessary compliance requirements.
  • Onboarding: Conduct orientation sessions and ensure a smooth transition for new hires into the organization.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Support in resolving basic employee concerns and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
  • HR Policies & Compliance: Ensure adherence to HR policies and labor regulations.
  • Performance Tracking: Maintain hiring and onboarding metrics for reporting and process improvement.
  • ERP Management: Utilize MyClassboard ERP to maintain employee records, offer letters, and contracts.

Experience: Minimum 8 years in HR, with a strong background in recruitment and hiring processes.

? Qualification: MBA in HR or an equivalent degree.

? Industry Preference: Prior experience in the education sector (schools/colleges) is a plus.

? Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise in end-to-end recruitment, job portals, and sourcing.
  • Strong evaluation and screening abilities to identify the right talent.
  • Negotiation skills for final interviews and salary discussions.
  • Ability to manage employment documentation and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using HR software & ERP systems (MyClassboard preferred).
