Job Purpose:

Demonstrates knowledge and skill in caring for the patient with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. Provides nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, for all day care patients.

Job Responsibilities:

• To assist the Ward Staff Nurse in care of patient which includes sponge bath, mouth care, back care, combing, feeding, dressing, giving water to the patient and help the ambulatory patient.
• Shifting of patient from one ward to another ward.
• Handling of wheelchairs and stretchers
• Dispatching the samples and collection of reports
• Collection and returning of medicine from and to stores
• Taking of patients to X-ray, MRI, CT.
• Collection and dispatching of all dressing sets in CSSD.
• Cleaning and Filling of all water jugs in the ward.
• Leaving of the patient near the gate of hospital after discharge.
• In case of Emergency they are suppose to help housekeeping on the requirement.
