Regional Finance Manager

About the Role:

The Regional Finance Manager (East) will be responsible for driving robust financial governance and operational excellence across the Eastern cluster by overseeing accounting, statutory compliance, financial planning & analysis, and internal controls. The role will partner with hospital unit leadership and corporate finance to ensure accurate financial reporting, adherence to regulatory frameworks, and alignment with strategic business objectives.

Location: Narayana Health - RN Tagore Hospital, Kolkata

Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance with 13+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in healthcare or multi-unit environments.

Key Deliverables:

1. Regional Financial Governance & Performance Monitoring

• Lead financial reporting and planning for the region, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• 
  Review unit-wise financials (P&L, balance sheets) and ensure proper provisioning.
• Analyze variances against budgets and forecasts; share insights with leadership.
• Strengthen reconciliation processes to maintain financial data integrity.

2. Operational Finance Leadership

• Act as finance partner to Facility Heads and Regional Director for key decisions.
• Oversee receivables, vendor payments (Capex/Opex), and fund flow management.
• Monitor daily cash flows and working capital across units.
• Ensure financial discipline and act as escalation point for operational finance issues.

3. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management

• Ensure GST, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance across the region.
• Lead internal and external audits; ensure timely closure of findings.
• Monitor IFC adherence and implement corrective measures.

4. Systems, Controls & Stakeholder Management

• Manage AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, and inventory controls across units.
• Drive standardization, automation, and efficient financial operations.
• Strengthen financial systems and MIS reporting.
• Coordinate with corporate and unit-level finance teams for aligned deliverables.

Candidate Skills Required:

1. Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
2. Thorough understanding of statutory laws (GST, Income Tax) and internal/external audit practices.
3. Proficiency in ERP tools, MIS reporting, and driving standardization and financial controls across verticals
4. Ability to analyze complex data, identify financial risks/opportunities, and provide actionable insights.
5. Strong interpersonal skills to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive collaboration across the business.
