Head - Accounts - Accounting/Finance/Audit

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead our accounting function as the Head - Accounts, based in Delhi NCR or Kolkata. In this strategic role, you will oversee the entire financial accounting lifecycle, ensuring the integrity of our financial data and the robustness of our internal control environment. You will act as a key advisor to the leadership team, collaborating closely with cross-functional department heads to drive financial discipline and operational efficiency. By spearheading statutory compliance and optimizing working capital, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company's fiscal health and supporting our long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the end-to-end financial reporting process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial statements to stakeholders and board members.
• Oversee all statutory audit and tax compliance activities to mitigate regulatory risks and ensure adherence to local and national financial laws.
• Implement and monitor stringent internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions.
• Manage working capital effectively by optimizing cash flow cycles and maintaining healthy liquidity positions to support business operations.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, and operational excellence.
• Drive the seamless integration and optimization of ERP systems to automate accounting workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Required Skillset:

• Possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 15 - 20 years of progressive experience in managing complex accounting operations.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in financial reporting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the organization remains audit-ready at all times.
• Exhibit strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing large, diverse teams and influencing senior stakeholders across the organization.
• Showcase proficiency in leveraging ERP platforms to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
• Maintain excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance leadership.
• Demonstrate high adaptability to a professional office environment, with the ability to navigate the specific operational nuances of our Delhi NCR and Kolkata locations.
