Head - Sourcing - Manufacturing

Role Context:

The Head of Sourcing will lead the sourcing function across categories including fabrication, forgings, castings and other critical components. The role will be responsible for sourcing strategy and will also provide sourcing support to the company's international subsidiaries.

Functional Competency:

• The mandate will cover both cost and capacity, with the incumbent expected to drive cost optimisation while building supplier capacity, developing alternate sources, and strengthening supply resilience.
• Ability to manage a large and fragmented supplier ecosystem and engage directly with vendors to resolve capacity, quality, cost and supply challenges.
• Exposure to domestic as well as international sourcing and experience in supply-chain risk mitigation - de-risking.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Materials/Purchasing, R&D and NPD teams.
• Exposure to procurement transformation, digitisation and ERP-led procurement initiatives would be an added advantage.
• Strong sourcing leader who can balance cost competitiveness, supplier capacity, and supply continuity in a high-variety, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong vendor development and relationship management skills will be critical, along with the ability to build alternate sources and strengthen the overall supplier ecosystem.
