Job Description
- You will be part of Navisite DBA Managed Services Team and will primarily work as a Postgre SQL DBA Consultant. Your role will involve having a strong understanding of Postgre SQL infrastructure components to handle end-to-end PostgreS Infrastructure engagements, which include assessments and migrations.
Your essential duties and responsibilities will include advising customers on best practices, implementing best practices on PostgreSQL Databases and Servers, interfacing and communicating with customers, participating in an on-call rotation, installing and configuring PostgreSQL, documenting processes and procedures, implementing/supporting Log Shipping, Failover Solutions, and Replication.
Additionally, you will participate in migrations and upgrades for customers, keep time entries up to date within 24 hours, advise customers on hardware and licensing questions, ensure customers have appropriate maintenance in place, including backups, index maintenance, and routine vacuuming. Performance tuning and continuous learning of new skills involved in being a PostgreSQL DBA as the technology evolves will also be key responsibilities. You will be expected to stay up to date with new releases of PostgreSQL and advise customers on aspects relevant to them.

To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.,
