Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Wish.com, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem-solver and successful in combining technology and data into best-in-class outcomes. The candidate is energized by solving complex business problems and consistently effective in making high-judgement decisions at rapid pace amidst the frequent ambiguity that comes with charting a course of action with no precedent. Moreover, the ideal candidate is energized by an environment where strategy, innovation and decision-making are intentionally distributed, where candor, speed and data are highly valued and colleagues at all levels hold each other to unusually high standards on behalf of Quince customers.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post Journal Entries by validating supporting schedules/invoices;
• Keeping books of account up to date and maintaining invoices and other company documents in an
• organized manner;
  
• Vouching invoices and supports before posting entries and resolving discrepancies, if any, with
• business owners;
• Making payments to vendors, entering invoices and onboarding new vendors in Bill.com, responding
• to vendor queries;
• Liase with accountants for India entity and maintain all needed supporting schedules in the required
• format Expense sheet- Updating the expense sheet and saving the invoices in the folder for the
• consultant;
• Preparing accrued and prepaid expenses workings for month-end closure and posting month-end
• closure entries;
• Perform all required reconciliations for month-end closure (bank reconciliation, logistics expense
• reconciliation etc.);
• Maintain fixed asset schedule, bank reconciliations, investment schedule, closing inventory etc.;
• Communicate with Manager/Senior Manager on work status, accounting issues as they arise along with proposed solutions

  Get Hired
• Analyze all balance sheet and profit & loss accounts at current state and prepare gap analysis to comply with the US GAAP requirements
• Prepare GAAP process documents which will provide flow of the process from beginning to the end
• Select appropriate accounting policies, estimation, and judgment as per the company’s process and business
• Create FSCP by documenting the financial statements process flow from the inception till the end of the process
• Prepare financial statements as per US GAAP and liaise with auditors to support audit requirements
• Support ERP implementation
  

Other required skills:

• Must be familiar with any accounting software, preferably QuickBooks, Oracle Netsuite;
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Strong communication skills
