Job Title: Senior Software Quality Engineer

Job Location: Chennai

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

NCR is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our Retail Engineering team at Chennai to deliver quality products by providing software testing services and quality assurance that improves our customer’s ability to succeed. 

We’re searching for you if you: 

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners on requirements. 

• Have experience in developing test strategies, test plans and test cases. 

• Write robust code and write functional and performance test suits. 

• Perform automation and functional testing. 

• Ensure quality of the product being delivered. 

• Enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems in tight timeframes. 

• Can communicate and operate well across a large organization. 

Requirements: 

• 7+ years of proven experience in software quality engineering from multi-national company 

• Strong coding skills in programming languages like Java, C# and TypeScript 

• Automate Rest API's using Rest assured library. 

• Experience in all the testing types that we use in Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). 

• Experience to author test cases in Test Driven Development(TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) . 

• Proficient in using AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and ChatGPT to enhance engineering productivity and software quality. 

• Leverage Generative AI for test case design, test data creation, automation development, and defect analysis. 

• Utilize AI-assisted techniques to improve test coverage, optimize regression suites, and enhance testing efficiency. 

• Apply AI tools for debugging, root cause analysis, code reviews, and risk identification while ensuring quality standards. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Experience working on retail or hospitality applications is a plus. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject areas or equivalent industry experience
