Job Description

    You will be responsible for administering, configuring, and maintaining JIRA projects, workflows, permissions, notification schemes, and custom fields. Your role will involve developing and implementing custom JIRA plugins and scripts using Groovy to enhance JIRA functionality. Additionally, you will manage JIRA integrations with other tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implementing solutions to improve team productivity will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
    Your tasks will include designing and developing microservices-based solutions for JIRA-related tasks, ensuring that JIRA is optimized for scalability, performance, and security. You will leverage Groovy and Java to automate JIRA workflows and processes, troubleshoot and resolve JIRA application issues, and provide support to end-users. Maintaining documentation for JIRA configurations, workflows, and custom scripts, as well as applying Linux system administration principles to monitor and maintain JIRA server health, will also be part of your duties.
    Furthermore, you will conduct training sessions and provide guidance to internal teams on JIRA best practices. Staying up to date with the latest JIRA features, plugins, and industry trends is essential for this role.
    To be successful in this position, you must have a solid understanding of Groovy programming language and its application in JIRA, hands-on experience with Java and Microservices architecture, and strong Linux system administration skills. Familiarity with JIRA REST APIs and integration methodologies, as well as the ability to develop custom scripts and plugins for JIRA using Groovy, are also required. Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices to align JIRA workflows with organizational goals, proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in JIRA, and strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with diverse teams are essential.

    A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Certifications in JIRA Administration or related tools will be an added advantage.
