Title: Track Lead AI & Data (Senior Manager / Director level) Reports to: Head of Talent Delivery Operations Location: Bengaluru, India

You own fulfilment for every AI, ML and Data requirement across our client Clusters. This is a player-coach role: you lead the Track team and personally close the hardest senior and niche roles.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Track funnel. Deliver every AI, ML, Data Engineering, Analytics and MLOps requirement from intake to client interview, within agreed turnaround times.
• Keep the talent bench ready. Maintain our assessed AI and Data talent pool, segmented by skill and seniority, with fresh availability, notice and pay data.
• Map the talent market. Track scarce skills, competitor pools and communities (GitHub, Kaggle, research and open-source networks) to stay ahead of demand.
• Raise the hiring bar. Define skill archetypes, scorecards and assessment rubrics with the Welocity product team, and tune them using client feedback.
• Close the hard roles. Personally lead senior, architect and leadership searches in the specialist lane.
• Partner with Account Managers. Run structured intake calls, sharpen requirements and close the loop on client feedback.
• Build the team. Hire, coach and lead a Track team of recruiters and sourcers, scaling with demand.

Who we are looking for

Experience

• 10–15 years in technical recruitment, with deep focus on AI/ML, Data and engineering roles.
• A track record of closing hard-to-fill roles: ML Engineers, Data Scientists, NLP specialists, MLOps, Data Architects and senior engineering leaders.
• Has built or scaled a technical hiring team, ideally including a 0-to-1 build.
• Has built and maintained a talent network or community in AI and Data that you can bring with you.
• Hands-on with AI-led recruiting: screening bots, interview intelligence, automated workflows and recruiting analytics.
• A technical or CS background, or enough depth to screen candidates credibly, is a strong plus.
