Job Description

New Country Healthcare is looking for an experienced Media & Communication Officer to strengthen our corporate reputation, media presence and stakeholder engagement. This is a broad communications role for someone who can operate confidently across corporate communications, public relations, media engagement, executive communications, internal communications, events, influencer collaborations and strategic partnerships. The role combines planning with hands-on execution.

You will develop communication initiatives, manage corporate channels, create professional content in English and Arabic, build relationships with media and external stakeholders, support senior leadership communications and help ensure NCH communicates consistently and responsibly across different audiences. Given NCH's position within healthcare and wellness, this role also requires strong judgement around accuracy, approvals, reputation and compliance. You will work closely with Marketing, HR, Sales, Brand teams, senior leadership and external partners to ensure communication supports both NCH's reputation and wider business objectives.

Responsibilities

1- Corporate Communications & Channel Management

  • Develop and execute corporate communication plans that strengthen NCH's visibility, reputation and stakeholder understanding.
  • Manage NCH's corporate website, LinkedIn page and other approved communication channels.
  • Maintain an integrated communication calendar covering announcements, leadership messages, events, campaigns and stakeholder activities.
  • Ensure corporate messaging is clear, consistent, accurate and aligned with NCH's brand, business priorities and communication standards.

2- Media Relations, PR & Reputation

  • Develop PR and media initiatives that strengthen NCH's corporate positioning and credibility.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, media outlets and relevant industry stakeholders.
  • Manage media enquiries, interviews, press engagements and corporate announcements in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Draft press releases, media statements, interview briefs and corporate communications in both English and Arabic.
  • Monitor media coverage and emerging reputation risks, supporting leadership with appropriate response materials and communications when required.

3- Content, Storytelling & Executive Communications

  • Develop high-quality bilingual content across corporate, media, digital and internal communication channels.
  • Create corporate stories around NCH's business achievements, partnerships, employee contributions, community impact and organisational culture.
  • Support executive thought leadership through articles, talking points, interviews, presentations, speeches and leadership communications.
  • Review and edit communication materials to maintain accuracy, quality, consistency and appropriate tone of voice.

4- Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Develop internal communication initiatives that improve employee engagement and understanding of business priorities.
  • Create newsletters, announcements, leadership updates, employee campaigns and other internal communication materials in partnership with HR.
  • Support employee recognition, internal events, culture initiatives and engagement programmes through effective storytelling and communication.
  • Translate NCH Culture DNA into clear and practical communication that reinforces expected organisational behaviours.

5- Events, Influencers & External Engagement

  • Coordinate corporate events, CSR activities, community initiatives and stakeholder programmes that strengthen NCH's visibility and reputation.
  • Manage event communication from planning through execution and post-event coverage.
  • Manage influencer collaborations from identification and briefing through content approval, execution, compliance coordination and performance reporting.
  • Work with Marketing, Legal, Procurement and relevant business teams to ensure activities meet NCH's brand, contractual and compliance requirements.

6- Strategic Partnerships & Communication Performance

  • Identify and develop partnerships with healthcare institutions, educational organisations, professional associations, community groups and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop partnership proposals, co-marketing initiatives, communication plans and joint activations that create mutual value.
  • Coordinate partnership deliverables, approvals, timelines and communication requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track communication, media, digital, influencer, event and partnership performance using relevant measures including reach, engagement, reputation impact and ROI.
  • Use performance insights to recommend improvements and strengthen future communication activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media, Journalism or a related discipline.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations or integrated communications.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic are mandatory, including professional content-writing capability in both languages.
  • Proven experience developing corporate communications, press releases, media materials, leadership communications and digital content.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with journalists, media outlets and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing corporate campaigns, events and stakeholder communication activities.
  • Experience coordinating influencer collaborations, including briefing, approvals, execution and performance reporting.
  • Experience developing partnerships, co-marketing initiatives or community engagement programmes.
  • Experience within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, wellness, FMCG or another regulated and reputation-sensitive sector is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of communication governance, corporate branding, approval processes and reputation management.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, social media tools, media-monitoring platforms, digital analytics and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience coordinating creative agencies, photography, videography and content production.
  • Basic Canva or similar design capability is an advantage.
