Assistant Manager Store And Dispatch

Role & responsibilities

• Manage complete store and dispatch operations of the manufacturing unit.
  
• Handle inward and outward movement of materials, components and finished goods.
  
• Verify incoming materials with purchase order and prepare GRN in ERP system.
  
• Maintain proper bin location and identification for all materials in the store.
  
• Ensure proper storage, handling and preservation of parts to avoid damage.
  
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control.
  
• Conduct periodic stock verification and cycle counting.
  
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and maintain reconciliation records.
  
• Plan daily dispatch of vehicles/spares as per production and dealer requirements.
  
• Prepare dispatch documentation including invoice, delivery challan, gate pass and E-way bill.
  
• Coordinate with transporters, logistics partners and dealers for timely dispatch.
  

• Follow FIFO/FEFO method for material issuance.
  
• Issue materials to production line as per requirement and schedule.
  
• Coordinate with production, purchase and quality departments for material availability.
  
• Maintain ERP/SAP entries for inward, outward and stock transfer transactions.
  
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS and inventory reports.
  
• Support internal and external audit activities and maintain documentation.
  
• Implement 5S activities and ensure proper housekeeping in the warehouse.
  
• Ensure safety compliance and proper material handling practices in store area.
  
• Supervise store staff, helpers and dispatch team and monitor their work.

Preferred candidate profile

• 38 years of experience in stores, warehouse or dispatch operations in automobile or EV manufacturing industry.
  
• Hands-on experience in handling inward & outward material movement and inventory control.

• Good knowledge of GRN process, material issue, stock transfer and documentation.
  
• Familiar with ERP/SAP systems for inventory entries and stock tracking.
  
• Understanding of FIFO/FEFO, bin management and material identification.
  
• Experience in dispatch planning, transporter coordination and dealer dispatch.
  
• Knowledge of dispatch documents such as invoice, delivery challan, gate pass and E-way bill.
  
• Ability to conduct physical stock verification and cycle counting.
  
• Experience in handling audits and maintaining store records & documentation.
  
• Knowledge of 5S, safety practices and proper material handling methods.
  
• Good coordination skills with Production, Purchase and Quality departments.
  
• Basic MS Excel knowledge for MIS reporting and inventory reports.
  
• Ability to supervise store assistants, helpers and warehouse staff.
  
• Diploma/B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Automobile/Industrial) or any graduate with relevant store/warehouse experience.
  
• Good communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
