Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Country Manager to lead and grow the business across a GCC market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG or Personal Care, with proven experience managing sales, distributors, key accounts, and market expansion within the GCC. The role requires a commercially driven professional who understands the GCC consumer landscape and can build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the country sales and commercial strategy in line with overall business objectives.
- Drive revenue, distribution, market share, and profitability across the assigned market.
- Manage and develop relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and key accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's presence across relevant channels.
- Lead negotiations with distributors and major customers, including commercial terms, pricing, promotions, and annual agreements.
- Develop strong understanding of GCC FMCG/Personal Care market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive landscape.
- Monitor sales performance, forecasts, inventory, and market execution to ensure business targets are achieved.
- Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure effective market execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and strategic customers.
- Identify gaps in distribution and develop plans to improve numeric distribution, weighted distribution, and product visibility.
- Track competitor activity and provide market intelligence and recommendations to senior management.
- Lead, manage, and motivate the local sales/commercial team where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and commercial agreements.
Candidate Requirements:
- 5 - 8 years of total professional experience, preferably within FMCG, Personal Care, Beauty, Consumer Goods, or related industries.
- Minimum 2 years of proven GCC sales experience is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of the GCC FMCG/Personal Care distribution and retail landscape.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Experience managing distributors, key accounts, and modern trade/traditional trade channels.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to develop and execute market-entry, expansion, and growth strategies.
- Strong analytical and business-planning capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and target-oriented approach.
- GCC market exposure with the ability to work effectively across different cultures and business environments.
Ideal Profile:
The ideal candidate would be someone currently working in a Country Sales, Country Manager, Sales Manager, or Business Development Manager capacity within FMCG or Personal Care, with meaningful GCC exposure and a demonstrated ability to build markets, manage distributors, and deliver revenue growth.
