Credit Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
• Perform financialspreading of borrower/company financials into internal credit templates or financial spreading tools.
• Assess the financial performance, liquidity, leverage, profitability, and cash-flow position of borrowers.
• Calculate and interpret key financial ratios and credit metrics.
• Analyze historical and projected financial performance.
• Support preparation of credit appraisal, credit review, and underwriting documents.
• Identify key credit risks and provide relevant financial analysis to support credit decisions.
• Review borrower information, industry trends, management information, and other relevant credit documentation.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual and projected financial performance.
• Assist in determining debt-servicing capacity and repayment ability.
• Maintain accuracy and quality of financial spreads and ensure data is supported by source documents.
• Support senior credit analysts/underwriters in preparation of credit memos and risk assessments.
• Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good knowledge of financialspreading and financial statement analysis.
• Strong understanding of Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statement.
• Knowledge of financial ratios such as DSCR,Debt/EBITDA,CurrentRatio, QuickRatio,ROE,ROA,andleverageratios.
• Understanding of credit underwriting and credit-risk concepts.
• Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and potential credit risks from financial statements.
• Good knowledge of Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
