Role Overview
- As the Head of Business Development, you will lead our institutional expansion strategy by building high-impact partnerships with:
- Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) AIFs, PMS
- Global Wealth Management Firms
- This role demands a visionary, strategic thinker with a strong understanding of India's regulatory landscape and operational infrastructure in capital markets.
- You will thrive in this role if you are a closer, a builder, and a trusted advisor, someone who sits confidently at the intersection of client needs, product innovation, and regulatory foresight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the go-to-market strategy for FPI Sales, Institutional Advisory, and Prime Brokerage verticals.
- Cultivate and convert high-value institutional relationships with FPIs, offshore investors, PMS/AIF and HNIs.
- Leverage networks from channel partners to build a pipeline of marquee clients
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Custody, Tech, Compliance, and Legal teams to deliver a best-in-class onboarding and service experience.
- Navigate the FPI regulatory environment, aligning offerings with SEBI, RBI, and global norms.
- Monitor market intelligence and emerging trends to craft proactive, insight-driven client conversations.
- Drive and report on key KPIs, including, revenue per client, client acquisition and retention, and wallet share expansion.
Experience:
- 10-14 years in institutional sales/business development with a successful track record in FPI, securities services, or prime brokerage.
Market Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the Indian capital markets, FPI regulations, HFT community, and custody frameworks.
