Your day at NTT DATA
The Software Quality Assurance / Testing Engineer is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for participating in every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards.
This role collaborates with various stakeholders in the development and execution of exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.
What Youll Be Doing
Role Technical Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Manual Software QA Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Agile testing methodologies, including active participation in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
• Proficiency in analysing requirements and creating test cases (functional, non-functional, integration, and end-to-end test cases).
• Experience in executing manual test cases, documenting defects, and performing root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps or Jira for managing test cases and tracking defects.
• Knowledge of API testing with tools such as POSTMAN and an understanding of REST API principles.
• Hands-on experience in conducting cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility.
• Ability to work with databases (SQL and NoSQL such as MongoDB) to validate data integrity and correctness.

Academic Qualifications And Certifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  

Role Deliverables

• Develop and maintain detailed, clear, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases for a variety of testing types (functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing).
• Report, track, and manage defects using appropriate tools and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), developers, and other QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Provide feedback and contribute to test strategy and planning activities, ensuring that all requirements are met and documented.
• Participate actively in sprint activities and contribute to the estimation of QA tasks during story grooming.
• Manage and prepare test data to support testing activities and validate scenarios effectively.
• Work closely with developers to understand application changes, ensuring all test cases are aligned with the latest software functionalities.
• Engage in exploratory testing to identify potential issues that may not be covered by standard test cases.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test processes, test results, and defect reports to ensure traceability and compliance with best practices.
