Position Summary:
You will play a key role in managing and enhancing data governance processes and standards within the organization. Collaborating closely with various departments, your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate, consistent, secure, and responsible use of data.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Document data governance activities, such as data policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain the data governance framework in alignment with regulatory, legal, and business requirements.
- Create and update data dictionaries, glossaries, and catalogs for ensuring data standardization.
- Collaborate with data owners and stewards to define data quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in data management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in data-related roles, including internships, coursework, or projects in data governance, data management, or data analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards like GDPR and CCPA is advantageous but not mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics:
- Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.

- Knowledge of data management tools and platforms like Excel, SQL, data catalogs, or data governance tools is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Interest in data privacy, compliance, and risk management.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
