Role Overview:
The Legal Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the legal soundness of Optimus Capital's real estate transactions and corporate activities. This position involves working closely with internal teams, external legal counsel, and stakeholders to manage legal documentation, conduct due diligence, and provide legal support on a wide range of matters. The Legal Specialist directly contributes to mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance, thereby safeguarding the company's interests and facilitating successful business outcomes.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate related agreements, including sale deeds, lease agreements, and construction contracts, to protect the company's interests and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Conduct thorough legal due diligence on potential real estate acquisitions, including title searches, property surveys, and environmental assessments, to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal teams on matters related to corporate law, contract law, and real estate law, to ensure informed decision-making and compliance.
- Manage and maintain legal documentation, including contracts, licenses, and permits, to ensure accurate record-keeping and easy accessibility.
- Assist in the resolution of legal disputes and litigation matters, working with external counsel to develop strategies and protect the company's interests.
- Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, and advise the company on necessary compliance measures, to ensure ongoing adherence to legal requirements.
- Prepare and present legal training sessions for internal teams on relevant topics, to enhance their understanding of legal issues and promote compliance.

- Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Proven expertise in conducting legal due diligence, identifying risks, and providing practical solutions.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and real estate law principles.
- Excellent legal writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- LLB degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in real estate law and corporate law.
