Key Requirements
The SMT Equipment Incharge is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and
optimization of all Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to achieve maximum production
uptime, yield, and product quality.
Role Purpose
The role focuses on machine readiness, preventive maintenance, process control, and technical support
to production teams.
It also ensures adherence to ESD, safety, and quality standards, supporting both mass production and

new product introduction (NPI) requirements.

Diploma/Degree in Engineering (BE / B.Tech. in Electronics)
7+ years relevant experience in EMS industry.
Qualifications
Experience
Skills
Strong knowledge of SMT equipment (Yamaha / Juki / Panasonic / Fuji / ASM).
Expertise in machine programming, alignment, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with SPI, AOI, Reflow profiling, and ESD-safe practices.
Understanding of SMT process parameters, stencil design, and solder paste handling.
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and quality inspection criteria.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA).
Process optimization, yield improvement, and downtime reduction.
Data analysis and performance reporting (efficiency, OEE, MTTR/MTBF).
Team leadership and training capability.
Coordination with Production, Quality, and Process Engineering teams.
Time management, task prioritization, and strong follow-up skills.
Proficiency in ERP/MES systems, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Maintenance documentation, SOP preparation, and reporting accuracy.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and quality-driven mindset.
Positive attitude, discipline, and proactive approach.
Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
