YOUR MISSION rocket
bullseye Your mission’s purpose is to to support decision making across the organization. It’s a cross functional role to build and grow the Data team. You work closely with different departments and executives to analyze and identify patterns and be a subject matter expert for all things data across the organization.
Acting as Lead Data Analytics engineer, you will design, evaluate and test data infrastructure. You play a role in our data governance across the company. with departments and executives to define and analyze metrics and patterns that will help drive business decisions.
1 | Lead and Manage Our DataOps Infrastructure
- Oversee and take ownership of our DataOps infrastructure, utilizing best-in-class tools such as DBT.
- Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations to support various use cases across all departments, products.
- Utilize existing data infrastructure to address all data-related requests, including data housekeeping, cleansing, and normalization.
- Own and manage the data stack and modern tools, including Dagster, DBT, Metabase, and other ETLs.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor KPIs and quality indicators.
- Document and train team members to use visualization tools, promoting data democratization across the organization.
- Analyze datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making and future performance forecasting.
- Utilize statistical techniques to analyze data.
- Provide key insights to business stakeholders to support strategic decisions.
- Exploit user data (e.g.market trends, marketing campaigns, course completion, user satisfaction) for various analyses.
- Participate in designing models for segmentation, scoring, and more.
- Collaborate with teams to understand their requirements and frustrations, providing strategic solutions.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose scalable, workable alternatives.
- Understand the full scope of how various systems integrate into core business functions.
- Create and maintain documentation on metrics and their measurement, ensuring consistent understanding and usage across the organization.
- Document dashboards, data sources, and SQL queries as necessary.

- Proven experience in DataOps or a related field, with strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Proficiency with tools such as Dagster, DBT, and Metabase.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to business stakeholders.

- Proficiency in data modeling and skills in picking the right data tool.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong data visualization skills and proficiency in at least one tool (PowerBI, Metabase, Looker, etc.).
- Strong understanding of the ethics of gathering and working with data.
- Experience with modern data engineering tools such as DBT.
- English: Fluent English, you can hold a conversation on specific details with English-speaking colleagues. Our chosen language for written communication is English. Currently, 10% of the team is English-speaking, a % which will continue to grow.
- French: Preferred.
