Parag Milk Foods - Assistant Manager - Accounts

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager - Accounts to oversee financial accounting, general ledger management, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and period-end closing activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting expertise, experience with ERP systems, and the ability to ensure accurate financial reporting while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustment entries.
- Perform ledger scrutiny, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.
- Verify vendor invoices, process payments, and manage accounts payable operations.
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, cash flow reports, and management dashboards.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to business leaders.
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, taxation, and finance teams for smooth financial processes.
- Support statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and company financial policies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and annual financial planning exercises.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency within finance functions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure strong financial controls across accounting processes.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting and General Ledger.
- Experience in month-end and year-end closing.
- Expertise in journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
- Good understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in audit coordination and financial documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-9 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Food Processing, or Retail industries is preferred.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and financial planning will be an added advantage.
