Consultant Rheumatologist

Role & responsibilities

• Patient care: Conduct comprehensive evaluations, diagnose complex rheumatic diseases (such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and gout), and manage chronic conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Treatment: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using diagnostic techniques, medication, and procedures like joint injections. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to provide holistic care.
• Leadership and supervision: Supervise and train junior doctors and medical students.
• Research and education: Participate in clinical research and educational programs to advance the field of rheumatology.
• Administrative duties: Manage patient records and participate in hospital committees or other administrative tasks as required.
