Job Description
- As a System & Security Administrator at Patra Corporation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and securing our IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include managing, implementing, and ensuring the security of our systems by configuring servers, networks, backup solutions, and security tools. You will be tasked with monitoring systems for suspicious activity, managing user access, and ensuring all security protocols are up-to-date. Additionally, you will conduct regular security audits, respond to incidents, and work towards compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in system administration and security. You should possess in-depth knowledge of Windows servers administration, Linux administration, VMware, vulnerability resolution skills, and experience with security tools such as rapid7, BitSight, and UpGuard. Furthermore, you will be required to configure and monitor SIEM solutions for log analysis and threat detection, have good scripting knowledge, and be proficient in conducting regular system administration tasks.
Your responsibilities will also include diagnosing hardware and software faults, researching and recommending new technologies, investigating security incidents, and preparing reports on security posture and incident response activities. Moreover, you should have expertise in encryption standards, MFA, access management solutions, cloud security, hybrid environments, security frameworks, log management, and Syslog servers.
Collaboration with the security team to remediate vulnerabilities, disaster recovery planning, SOP document preparation, and SOC/ISO audit documentation are also essential aspects of this role. You should be knowledgeable in load balancers, antivirus solutions, backup and recovery, patch management, basic network administration, security policy development, vulnerability assessment, access control management, intrusion detection/prevention, compliance management, and ensure redundancy and stability for critical systems.

Strong communication skills, the ability to work well in a team, and a proactive approach to tasks are key attributes for success in this position. A Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in monitoring and handling server and network issues are required, with any IT certifications considered an added advantage. The role may require working from home or the office, and having a minimum internet speed of 50 mbps download and 10 mbps upload directly connected to a modem with no satellite connection.
