Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Legal Manager and Compliance Officer to join our team. This role is essential in managing the company’s legal and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to international trade laws, data privacy regulations, and export control requirements. 

Responsibilities:

• Review, draft, and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
• Ensure all agreements are legally sound and aligned with the company’s policies and objectives.
• Stay informed on international trade regulations, export controls (e.g., EAR, ITAR), and ensure compliance with global trade laws.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks, including SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India), RBI (Reserve Bank of India), and other applicable financial regulations.
• Address compliance requirements related to freight documentation, shipping protocols, and export-import operations.
• Handle legal disputes, claims, and notices from clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitration, or negotiations when required.
• Mitigate penalties by ensuring compliance with export regulations and addressing any legal issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to regulations and policies governing the fintech application, including data security, user privacy, and financial transaction guidelines.
• Conduct regular compliance audits, risk assessments, and due diligence on business operations and third-party vendors.
• Stay updated on compliance requirements under SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) and MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) regulations.
• Monitor global regulatory developments in software export, intellectual property, and cross-border data transfers.
• Provide advice on changes in legal and regulatory frameworks and their impact on the business.
• Support the company in managing and resolving disputes effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is required; Master’s degree or certifications in compliance, international trade law, or intellectual property (e.g., LLM, CCEP, CIPM) are preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, ideally in the software, IT, or export industry.
• Strong understanding of international trade laws, customs regulations, and freight forwarding practices.
• Strong understanding of SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience managing relationships with regulatory authorities and external legal counsel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
