Pepperfry.com - Manager - Demand Planning & Strategy

We are looking for a team member who will assist in driving S&OP for the company, ensure correct inventory is ordered & healthy inventory levels are maintained at the fulfillment centers. S/he will also be accountable for import process and coordination with stakeholders which enable the order fulfilment & delivery as per timelines - merchants and 3rd party logistics providers.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead all Demand Planning activities across the organization, ensuring robust forecasting and alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate monthly demand forecast aggregation through active collaboration and consensus-building among cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop and drive the continuous improvement of world-class Demand Planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to enhance forecasting accuracy and supply visibility.
- Monitor demand plan performance throughout the month and provide analytical insights and recommendations to the Category and S&OP teams for timely reviews and decisions.
- Define, track, and improve S&OP plan accuracy using clearly established metrics, driving accountability and performance.
- Lead Network Optimization initiatives to balance cost, capacity, and service efficiency across the supply chain network.
- Oversee the Order Fulfilment team, ensuring close coordination with merchants for on time readiness of finished goods.

- Direct and collaborate with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of shipments while maintaining high service levels.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across the supply chain by identifying inefficiencies and implementing tactical and strategic cost-saving measures.
- Partner with the FP&A team to analyze cost drivers, monitor supply chain spend, and deliver actionable insights that support profitability goals.
- Own the Supply Chain P&L, with accountability for optimizing costs across warehousing, logistics, and network operations without compromising service performance.
- Identify and execute process improvement opportunities across the end-to-end procurement, fulfillment, and delivery cycle to enhance operational agility, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

- Financial & Analytical Expertise: Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and data-driven decision-making, with the ability to identify cost trends and optimize performance.
- Commercial Acumen: Proven experience in managing contracts, pricing structures, and vendor negotiations to drive cost efficiency and strategic value.
- Negotiation & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and cultivate strong vendor and client partnerships.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated precision and accuracy in financial reporting, reconciliations, and data validation to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Problem-Solving Orientation: Skilled in evaluating complex operational and financial challenges and developing effective, sustainable solutions.
- Technology Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and advanced MS Excel, enabling efficient analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
