Assistant Production Manager

Purpose of Job

To Ensure Smooth Operation of respective Plant Preventive Maintenance (Spout/refractory change Planning). Ensure smooth Startup of I.S Machine along with ensuring better efficiency of new product. Reduction of Customer Complaints cost effective production & Inventory control.

Must have: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Good to have: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering

Essential Experience

Minimum Experience: Minimum 12+ Years in container Glass production

Technical Skill:

Good Understanding of IS Machine Operation, forehearth Management / Control and Project Management

Skills: Manpower Handling, Presentation skill, Inventory Mgmt. & Planning

Reporting to

Operation Head

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

Ensure respective Plant Performance against the targeted, Optimum utilization of Machine & Furness, Timely completion of New Development Inventory Control, Job change Planning, Preventive Maintenance Planning, Job On & Job Off Preparation, Implementation of best past performing parameters, Restarting the production operations after the shutdown / Repair and any major Shut down of Furnace and Machine.

Study of customer complaints, Preparation and Implementation of the Corrective Action for same

Best Performing data collection of the new Product during first Production

Shift monitoring-

Correction of the Parameters after evaluation of the effectiveness of the shift operations (productions) of the Previous day.

Defects Rectification

Decision on optimizing the temperature and the machine parameters in case there is a defect that is reported during the manufacturing. Ensure Availability of the required Material (Swabbing compound, consumables, Engineering Items)
