RoleOverview

We are seeking aSQL Developerwith 24 years of experience in database design, data preparation, and optimization for analytics use cases. The candidate will be responsible fordeveloping and maintaining SQL-based data pipelinesthat support patient analytics, claims data modeling, and dashboard reporting (Tableau/Power BI). This role requires strong technical expertise in SQL (preferably across multiple platforms like Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake), solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, and the ability to translate business requirements into efficient, scalable data solutions.

KeyResponsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintainSQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL scriptsfor analytics and reporting.
• Work closely with business analysts and visualization developers to support data needs forpatient, claims, and sales analytics.
• Perform
  
  data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)from multiple data sources into analytical environments.
• Create and maintaindata models, views, and schemas optimized for performance and scalability.
• Conductdata validation, quality checks, and anomaly detectionto ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support performance tuning of queries and databases to enhance processing efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to designdata dictionaries, metadata, and documentationfor analytical datasets.
• Ensure data security and compliance with organizational and client-level data governance policies.
• (Optional)Assist in automation and integration using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, or Python.

Requirements

• Bachelors or masters degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 24 years of experience as aSQL Developer,Data Engineer, orDatabase Analyst.
• Strong expertise inSQL scripting, joins, CTEs, window functions, and stored procedures.
• Experience working withlarge-scale datasets

  Get Hired
  , preferably in healthcare, pharma, or commercial analytics domains.
• Proficiency with one or more RDBMS platforms such asAzure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Snowflake.
• Knowledge ofdata warehousing concepts, normalization, and star/snowflake schema design.
• Understanding ofETL principles, data pipelines, and integration workflows.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure data quality and reliability.

Good to Have

• Experience withcloud data ecosystems(Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Familiarity withTableau, Power BI, or CRM Analyticsfor understanding downstream data consumption.
• Working knowledge ofPython, R, or shell scriptingfor automation and data processing.
• Exposure tohealthcare datasets(IQVIA, Pharmetrics, Symphony, etc.) and concepts such as claims, patient journeys, or prescription data.
