Assistant Manager/ Manager Technology Transfer

PI Industries is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager/Manager – Technology Transfer to drive successful scale-up and commercialization of new molecules for our Fine Chemicals business. The role will be responsible for bridging Process Development and Manufacturing by ensuring seamless technology transfer, scale-up, process optimization, and commercial implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Transfer & Commercialization

• Lead technology transfer activities from Process Development to Manufacturing.
• Plan and execute scale-up studies, pilot plant trials, and commercial-scale validation.
• Ensure smooth handover of new processes to Operations teams.
• Monitor project timelines and document transfer schedules for commercialization.

Process Engineering & Scale-Up

• Review and verify BFDs, PFDs, utility requirements, and raw material norms.
• Support equipment selection, sizing, solvent recovery, and off-gas handling systems.
• Develop SOPs and define critical process parameters for commercial operations.
• Prepare engineering packages and support DCS control logic development.

Process Safety & Risk Management

• Conduct process hazard assessments and support HAZOP studies.
• Generate data and calculations required for process safety reviews.
• Lead MOC studies and recommend risk mitigation measures.

Operational Excellence

• Define objectives for scale-up trials and recommend process improvements.
• Drive implementation of innovative technologies and systems at manufacturing scale.
• Support commercial production stabilization and optimization.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Train process engineers, pilot plant supervisors, and operations teams.
• Collaborate with PD, TAG, Manufacturing, EHS, and Engineering teams.
• Support talent development, performance management, and capability building.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
• 13–15 years of experience in Technology Transfer, Process Development, Scale-Up, or Commercialization.
