Job Description
- As a Tableau Developer in Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane, you will play a crucial role in serving as a technical resource for specific departments or functional areas. Your responsibilities will include developing and modifying reports and dashboards, preparing data for use in Tableau, coordinating releases of data and workbooks, and performing complex technical tasks. Additionally, you will be involved in designing, developing, publishing, testing, and troubleshooting dashboards and data sources in the SSA Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, publish, test, and troubleshoot dashboards and data sources.
- Establish connections to data sources and prepare data for use in Tableau.
- Add or create dimensions, measures, and calculations.
- Perform data modeling in Tableau Desktop and develop workbooks and hyper extracts.
- Publish workbooks and data sources to Tableau Development and QA sites.
- Refresh extracts, monitor extract schedules, and perform unit testing.
- Resolve data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources.
- Catalog measures and dimensions in Collibra and request access for Interactors and Viewers.
- Follow up with managers and users for approvals and attestations.
- Provide knowledge transfer and support to Interactors and Viewers.
- Coordinate with Tableau Admin Team for Production Deployment and provide Tier 1 support for Tableau issues.
- Monitor the usage report of workbooks and data sources.
Qualifications Required:

- Minimum 5 years of Tableau development experience, including recent experience in Tableau 10.
- Advanced SQL understanding and ability to write optimized queries.
- Thorough understanding of data warehouses and dimensional models.
- Experience in data wrangling, live connections, TDE, data blending, etc.
- Ability to generate operational reports, BI reports, dashboards, and data models using Tableau.
- Experience in scoping, requirements gathering, implementation, training, and maintenance of reporting systems.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis for data quality, redundancy elimination, source identification, and data reconciliation.,
