We are seeking to expand our team of passionate Identity & Access Management (IAM) professionals who manage the protection of Shell’s existing estate and deploys new platforms and services that enable future business value. As a successful applicant, you will join the newly formed Enterprise Technology Portfolio team for IAM and Security Services in Shell’s IDSO organization.


With the proliferation of cloud-based services and the elimination of traditional security perimeters such as corporate network boundaries, the role of IAM & Security has taken on an increasingly important role. The purpose of IAM & Security services is to provide Shell users fit for purpose access to resources and to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.



What's the role?



The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for identifying and documenting the business needs of clients and stakeholders and help to determine feasible Access Management solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems. This role will have a high focus on Shell Access Manager and Partner Federation both based on the cloud based Saviynt Security Manager platform.



Responsibilities & Accountabilities



The IAM Portfolio Analyst is responsible for managing a defined subset of services owned by the Portfolio Manager, including:



  • Provide support to the Service Portfolio Manager with the lifecycle management of the portfolio services.

  • Actively participate in delivery of enhancements and new functionality as the product backlog owner for Shell’s enterprise services for access administration/governance and third-party access management that are based on Saviynt.

  • Maintain Application & Service information in ServiceNow (the single trusted repository for application information) and ensuring data quality

  • Maintain the demand funnel for the portfolio and support the development of an integrated plan / roadmap (0-3 years) for the portfolio

  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to help identify key events or decision points (i.e. major upgrades, architecture drivers, end of life, contract extensions, etc.).

  • Execute data analysis and provide regular and on-demand data and reports on the relevant to our service portfolio to stakeholders.

  • Support the creation and maintenance of service roadmaps and alignment with relevant stakeholders (eg Operations, IRM, Architecture, IT Management etc.).

  • Supporting portfolio appraisals including analyses on effectiveness of current application & service portfolio in supporting business processes (business value and costs), identification of common characteristics to drive rationalization and simplification of the portfolio.

  • Assist is service cost management and budgeting

  • Support tracking of Total Cost of Ownership.

  • Support and perform project initiation activities.


Special Challenges:


The level of change in IAM is very high as Shell is replacing existing and deploy new innovative IAM solutions affecting all or a large group of users in Shell and Shell’s JV/NOV partners.



The services in the Access Management service portfolio address the significant risks of managing access to Shell’s core applications and infrastructure, essential in maintaining IT integrity and protecting business data at Shell enterprise level. Most of the services are business critical or support business critical applications and are SOx relevant.



What we need from you?


Skills & Requirements:



  • Years of Experience: 9 to 12 years of corporate IT experience with 4+years in Business Analyses.

  • Minimum Education or Certification: 4-year Degree related to IT

  • Language: Fluent in English (oral and written)


  • Background in or experience with operating, designing, delivering or managing IGA solutions and infrastructures – preferably Saviynt.

  • Knowledge of IGA and PAM technology deployments in the market and their relevance to solving business problems.


  • Ability to apply creative thinking in developing new concepts that help improve control access management risks.

  • Experienced with gathering, analyzing and documenting functional & non-functional requirement for opportunity framing.

  • Business and financial acumen to review the economics within the service line including cost drivers and the trade-offs associated with quality, schedule, and cost.

  • Knowledge about or experience with IT general controls.
