Position Description
Responsible for minimizing and rationalizing the cost of stores and logistics operations overseeing the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods as per project schedules. Support Corporate Supply Chain in achieving business targets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage stores and logistics operations as per Project schedule. Ensure time, cost and productivity targets are met.
- Track and monitor inventory status, supply usage, costs and trends to ensure inventory levels are maintained at established levels..
- Ensure adherence to legal & statutory compliance at all levels at stores.
- Logistics & packing cost optimization
- Maintain QMS across stores and logistics & ensure quality inspection of stock received from source of supply.
- Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met & due care of the inventory stock is taken.
- Develop and implement strategies for alternate sourcing.
- Develop and implement inventory policies and procedures.
- Recommend modification in existing processes and methodologies with constant focus on continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely and cost effective transportation and distribution of goods.
