Immediate requirement for one of our client - Non CA (5 years of exp. of industry for internal reporting)

Location: Gurgaon

Experience: Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in industry (corporate finance/accounts function)

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent. CA is not required for this role; CA Inter / CMA Inter candidates can also be considered.

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days preferred

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare monthly financial reports and MIS packs for management review within agreed timelines.
2. Prepare internal reports and dashboards as required by business and finance leadership.
3. Prepare and review provision workings (expense accruals, bonus, leave encashment, etc.) and reconcile them with the general ledger.
4. Perform month-on-month expense variance analysis and give clear explanations for significant movements.
5. Carry out trend analysis of revenue, cost and key balances, and flag unusual movements.
6. Support month-end closing activities, including GL scrutiny and balance sheet reconciliations.
7. Coordinate with business teams to collect data and resolve queries.

Required Skills:

1. Strong hands-on Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, conditional formatting, charts and data validation. Exposure to Power Query, macros or Power BI would be an added advantage.
2. Good understanding of accounting principles and the month-end close process.
3. Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Tally.
4. Analytical approach, with the ability to explain numbers to non-finance stakeholders.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
6. Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.

Preferred Profile:

Candidates who currently work in, or have worked in, the finance/accounts team of a corporate (manufacturing, services, IT/ITES or similar), and who have handled MIS and reporting directly rather than only transactional accounting.
