Analyst - Geographic Information Systems

Role Overview:
As a GIS Analyst at Quess Corp, you will be responsible for leveraging geospatial data and technologies to provide valuable insights and support informed decision-making. You will work closely with project managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to develop and implement GIS solutions for various projects. Your expertise in spatial data analysis, GIS mapping, and data visualization will contribute to improving operational efficiency, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing service delivery for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct spatial data analysis using ArcGIS to identify patterns, trends, and relationships relevant to project objectives.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for internal and external users.
- Create compelling GIS maps and dashboards to effectively communicate spatial information and insights to stakeholders.

- Perform network analysis to optimize routes, assess accessibility, and improve logistical efficiency for various projects.
- Execute buffer analysis and overlay analysis to assess proximity, identify potential impacts, and support site selection decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data and analysis into existing workflows and systems.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies and trends, and proactively identify opportunities to improve existing processes and solutions.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in spatial data analysis, network analysis, buffer analysis, and overlay analysis.
- Expertise in using ArcGIS software for GIS mapping, data management, and spatial analysis.
- Experience in designing and developing GIS dashboards for data visualization and reporting.
- Ability to create and manage GIS databases, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field.
- 1-9 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment in Bangalore.
