SAP Project Management Office Role

Project & Program Governance:

- Strong understanding of SAP implementation lifecycles

- Experience supporting SAP ECC or S/4HANA programs (Greenfield/Brownfield)

- Establish and manage SAP project governance frameworks and standards

- Ensure adherence to SAP Activate, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery models

- Support stage-gate reviews, steering committee meetings, and approvals

Planning & Scheduling:

- Develop and maintain SAP project plans, milestones, and dependencies

- Track progress across multiple SAP workstreams (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, HR, BASIS, Security, Data, Testing, etc.)

- Coordinate cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities

Reporting & Dashboards:

- Prepare weekly/monthly SAP program status reports

- Track schedule, scope, cost, risks, issues, and dependencies

- Create executive dashboards using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, or SAP tools

Risk & Issue Management:

- Identify, track, and manage SAP program risks and issues

- Drive mitigation plans with functional, technical, and business teams

- Escalate critical issues to leadership and steering committees

Financial & Resource Management:

- Track project budgets, forecasts, and actuals

- Support vendor management, SOW tracking, and invoice validation

- Monitor resource allocation and capacity planning

Stakeholder Management:

- Act as a coordination point between business, IT, SAP partners, and vendors

- Support communication and change management activities

- Prepare executive and steering committee presentations

Documentation & Compliance:

- Maintain SAP project documentation (Charters, RAID logs, plans, MoMs)

- Ensure compliance with PMO standards, audits, and internal controls

Tools & Technologies:

- MS Project / Primavera / Smartsheet

- MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI

- Jira, Confluence, Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager (preferred)
