Job Description
- As a Java Lead Developer with over 10 years of experience, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for designing, architecting, and leading the development of scalable data processing pipelines using Java and Spark. Your expertise in Apache Spark, Azure Data Services, and Redpanda will be instrumental in driving impactful projects that make a real difference in the world.
Required Qualifications:
- Over 13 years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java and JVM-based technologies.
- Extensive background in working with Apache Spark for data processing in Java for over 5 years.
- Deep expertise in Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Databases.
- Proven track record in cloud-native architecture design, particularly focused on Azure.
- Proficiency in data storage optimization, partitioning, and Spark performance tuning.
- Leadership skills with mentoring experience to guide and develop high-performing engineering teams.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of security best practices for cloud-based data pipelines.

- Experience with Iceberg tables and Parquet file formats in a distributed processing environment.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
- Expertise in streaming data processing using Redpanda and integration with Spark jobs for real-time data flows.
- Understanding of microservices architecture using Spring Boot and cloud-based deployment strategies.
