Job Description
- The Data Engineer is responsible for managing and operating Databricks, Dbt, SSRS, SSIS, AWS DWS, AWS APP Flow, PowerBI/Tableau. You will closely work with the customer and team to manage and operate the cloud data platform.
As a Data Engineer, you will lead Level 4 operational coverage, resolving pipeline issues, proactive monitoring for sensitive batches, RCA, retrospection of issues, and documenting defects. You will design, build, test, and deploy fixes to non-production environments for Customer testing. Additionally, you will work with the Customer to deploy fixes on production upon receiving Customer acceptance of the fix.
Your responsibilities will include cost/performance optimization, audit/security, troubleshooting incidents/problems, knowledge management, governance, communication, change management, request management, incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, and coming up with preventive measures and recommendations.
You should have good hands-on experience in Databricks, Dbt, SSRS, SSIS, AWS DWS, AWS APP Flow, PowerBI/Tableau, the ability to read and write SQL and stored procedures, experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting, along with general analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate technical information and ideas clearly to others.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with 10+ years of hands-on experience in configuring and managing AWS/Tableau and Databricks solutions. Experience with Databricks and Tableau environments is desired.
This position demands extensive problem-solving skills, the ability to research issues, determine root causes, and implement resolutions. You should be able to research various sources such as Databricks/AWS/Tableau documentation to identify and resolve issues. Prioritization of issues and multitasking abilities are crucial for this role.,
