Job Description
- As a Cyber Vulnerability Analyst & Penetration Tester III at Rackspace Technology, you will be responsible for conducting vulnerability assessment scans, assisting with penetration testing, and identifying security vulnerabilities and risks. Your role will involve recommending solutions to mitigate these vulnerabilities and contributing to the development and delivery of services, solutions, and processes that ensure security defects are addressed before applications are released to production. Additionally, you will track public and privately released vulnerabilities, participate in the corporate triage process, and collaborate with various teams for remediation planning and resolution.
Your role will require in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, including expertise in mobile black box testing, source code analysis, manual pen testing, and vulnerability assessments. You will be expected to prepare detailed reports on vulnerability and penetration testing, work with business units to develop remediation plans, and stay updated on the evolving nature of security threats. Additionally, you will schedule and execute vulnerability and penetration testing, contribute to the corporate vulnerability triage process, and collaborate closely with Risk Management, ISOC, and Intel teams.
In this position, you will also be responsible for researching and investigating new and emerging vulnerabilities, as well as actively participating in external security communities. Your knowledge should encompass concepts such as Single Sign-On, Federation, PKI, LDAP, ethical hacking, penetration testing, and security principles related to operating system and directory services hardening.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess expertise in AI/Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, DevOps Coding Skills, and Network/Systems Skills. Additionally, the OSCP certification is mandatory for this position, while current certifications such as CEH, GPEN, CISSP, and GCIA are preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the cybersecurity field is required to excel in this role.
