Job Description
RAIN is seeking an experienced Vice President to lead and oversee the Sales of Rain Cements Limited
The ideal candidate should have a wealth of experience in developing and implementing integrated sales strategies with intensive experience in sales management, new market development, business expansion, revenue growth in commodity or consumer goods organization. The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help building positive relationships both with their associates and customers while driving organizational growth to new heights.
Note: This position requires travel Frequently to meet existing and new customers.
Role and Responsibilities
- To develop the entire sales strategy of the cement brands with budgeting, forecast and sales penetration inputs.
- Collaborate closely with management to develop long-term strategic plans for enabling high customer satisfaction and loyalty, and ultimately, steady sales growth.
- Develop new markets, build a robust sales and revenue growth model with adequate margins. Co-ordinate with sales team and program manage the sales and revenue growth by analysing trends, bringing innovative ideas and build better topline.
- Communicate goals clearly and constantly while ensuring teams are aligned and motivated to deliver results throughout the year. Implement digital systems to track the sales performance and daily task alignments
- Travel frequently to meet existing and new customers in person and better understand their business needs and objectives as well as market trends
- Do periodic customer satisfaction survey and take measures to improve the same. Also build a better customer experience ecosystem
- Set up targets for the individual sales teams and contribute to teams efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed including building regular discipline and other hygiene issues in the sales team
- Develop a target and performance driven sales incentive programs for the salesforce.
- Hire, train, lead and mentor a dynamic team of sales professionals to achieve the desired results across the markets we operate.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Full time MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferably from IIMs or from a reputed institute/university
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills for maximizing sales employee and team performance
- Excellent communication, listening skills with a pleasing and approachable demeanour
- More than 20 years of experience in Sales management, with minimum 5 years in Sales leadership roles preferably in the consumer or commodity industries with a proven track record of success.
- Familiarity with most districts or areas of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Odisha
- Proven customer-facing experience in the business-to-business (B2B) sector
- Strong sales and customer service skills with a knack for negotiations and target achievements
- In-depth knowledge of sales techniques and sales best practices
- Sales & Marketing research, competition analysis and program management
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations
