Role Description The Assistant Manager Business Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat. This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities in water treatment and beverage turnkey projects, nurturing leads, and building strong relationships with industrial and commercial clients. Day-to-day tasks include market research, lead generation, preparing proposals and quotations, coordinating product demonstrations, and supporting contract negotiations. The role involves close collaboration with technical, production, and service teams to align client requirements with company capabilities and ensure smooth project execution. The Assistant Manager Business Development also monitors competitor activity, maintains accurate sales pipelines and reports, and contributes to strategic planning and revenue growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, client relationship management, and negotiation abilities.
• Market research and analytical skills to identify opportunities, understand industry trends, and prepare data-driven business proposals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with clients, preparing professional documentation, and representing the company at meetings and events.
• Organizational and project coordination skills to manage multiple opportunities, track progress, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, water treatment, or beverage packaging solutions is highly beneficial.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial solutions.
• Comfort with frequent client visits, on-site discussions, and travel as required within India.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools to manage contacts, pipelines, and reporting.
